On January 10th, I officially filed for re-election to represent our Boone County community and the families and businesses of the 66th Legislative District in the Kentucky House of Representatives. Today, I received in the mail from the KY Secretary of State, the official certification of those filing papers.
The trust that you have placed in me to serve as your voice in Frankfort has allowed me (a wife, mother, grandmother, registered nurse and business woman) the honor of doing what I do best… serving others. Last year, when I was appointed Chair of the Committee on Health and Family Services, it was historic, as I was the first woman in the history of the Commonwealth to chair that committee, and the first Republican in almost 100 years. Yet, I believe the many complex issues that come before us, such as excellence in education, improved health outcomes, addressing the opioid crisis, reducing child abuse and neglect, strengthening our infrastructure and economic development, and transportation infrastructure, are NOT partisan. They are the multifaceted challenges that impact lives and are critical to the wellbeing and future of every Kentuckian.
I believe the strength of Boone County and our State is found in the individuals and families that form the fabric of our communities. I share your traditional values and hopes for our children and grandchildren, working every single day with YOU in mind!
I ask for your continued support in 2018!
Thank you in advance, Addia
PS Thank you Sophie Pile, Team Leader for “Kids for Addia”, Joseph, Elizabeth and Lincoln for coming down after school to join me! You guys rock!
