Day 25 of the 30 day -KY General Assembly 2017 Session. And it was another busy day in Frankfort as House & Senate bills make their way through the last of the committee process and prospective Chambers.
Folks, our days are so fast paced, running from early morning til late in the evening, there is little time to post, comment on issues before us or even share photographs of our visitors.
I will provide an End of Session Update and complete Legislative Review as soon as possible when we finally Sine Die.
Taking a brief pause from committees and legislative meetings, I enjoyed greeting our NKY Eagle Scouts who also joined us in Chambers and led the House members in the Pledge of Allegiance today.
Just past noon, advocates gathered in the Capitol rotunda for the Governor’s proclamation of Rare Disease Day in KY.
Upon adjournment of the House, I called to order a Special Health & Family Service Committee meeting. SB 4 – Medical Review panels was on the agenda and passed out favorably. Thank you Health & Family Com. Staff, Com. Members, Sen Ralph Alvarado and everyone who participated this evening. Completing our work, we adjourn the committee with plenty of time for members and those in attendance to see the CATs game.
The 2017 Session is racing to our 30th day end point with much yet to be completed. You can follow bills and calendar by googling KY LRC or checking out legislative coverage on KET. If you are so inclined you can put the KET KY Legislature App on your phone or IPad!
